    a little info please...

Hello...Have done some research from time to time on various satellite set-ups and also DREAM,OPEN,DARK and SKY boxes etc,but would like your up-to-date opinions on what would be the best all-round receiver for someone who would like to have a wee dabble,so to speak...?
Your feedback would be much appreciated...

Note:I just have a basic dish pointed at Astra/Eutelsat for standard UK viewing (at the moment!)

best box for dabbling is dm500s.. pick one up for ?50, play to ur hearts content, almost bulletproof, and if you do manage to break it, its only ?50 compared to next box up which is about ?130
    Fave replies from various threads

1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate
2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

      Cheers for the swift reply!
Yeah...been eye-balling them DM500s as there are plenty around ...what you've mentioned about their resilience kinda makes sense now as they do seem very popular for sure...in your experience, are they more stable than the later HD versions,or is the HD just purely an added bonus for essentially the same thing?
