Shed TV to launch in March 25/2/09

i found this posted elsewhere it does'nt say which satellite this channel will be on, if anyone knows let us know we cant miss a channel like this.
Shed TV to launch in March
    by David Allen

It had to happen one day, a channel devoted to men who like nothing more than spending time in their garden shed.
The Discovery Network, normally known for its ground breaking documentaries on the subject of nature and wildlife, will be launching Discovery Shed in March.
The Channel is dedicated to those men who like to escape to the bottom of their gardens, and the things they get up to in their sheds.
It will expose those practical activities such as DIY, building, gardening, fixing things, having the odd glass of wine or two, or working on the car.
Whatever happens in this male orientated world will be exposed everyday when the shed door opens on the 20th March 2009.

Trust Sky to take the money off some little company to broadcast such a channel, these channels are nothing but a Joke and when there are enough of them added Sky decide to increase the subscription by a pound or two every year stating they are adding quality prorgamming to your service with more to follow.

Who do they think they are fooling ?

            shed is a sham

The new shed channel was hyped up by Tommy Walsh and his mates as the new blokes channel where it was stated that this would be a hands on channel for the people who love to get stuck in and get things done and this was the channel to show you how to do it. Yes it does, providing you are a fisherman! why not just call it the Fishing Channel and have done with it? Real and Realtime extra also have loads of angling progs on so why not ttransfer the lot to this one. Anyway, when did you last see a fisherman carting an 8 by 10 tongue and grooved pent roof garden shed to the chuffing riverbank? I have not, before you ask, got anything against fishing. Each to his or her own. I am a woodworker and am always learning my craft despite having many projects and years of sawdust under my belt. What has happened to The New Yankee Workshop, Cutting Edge Woodworker and The Great British Woodshop? All of these are more likely to be found in the shed rather than a keep net full of bream or carp! what a waste of money this so called new venture has turned out to be and what a dismal disappointment! Channel planners take note, there are thousands of woodies waiting for the return of Norm Abrams and co. put our stuff on as well as catering for others and maybe we can all be watching interesting and instructive programmes.

But to be honest discovery is one of the best on television. i dont know if its the same as National geographic. But these 2 always show quality programmes never before seen on TV.

Discovery shed is just part of the family, remember we all like different things and there are 1000s who like this new channel and will probably subscribe sky specifically for it
