    SkyHD hdd upgrade

My SkyHD box has a Seagate ST3300820SCE hdd (300GB). It's a Samsung make from circa 2009-10. Beside the disk filling up with a couple of HD live football recordings (or F1 qualifier and race) - I also suffer from playback of recordings freezing intermittently. I am considering replacement of hdd to a 1T or even 2T disk. I've been through a number of forums on various sites and I get conflicting information every day - adding to my frustration. Anyone with a reliable reference for accurate information regards type/model of hdd I should consider. Will Copy+ work? How I can get hd box to maximise personal storage on hdd. Is it not just cheaper to get the 1TB SkyHD box upgrade (?149).

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I upgraded the 890 from 500 gig to 2TB for about ?85, so yes its worth it. the one inside most boxes is a seagate but I used a WD green. I know ebuyer had a deal on this week for a seagate green 2TB drive for about ?80
