    Is this value for money

Hi im a virgin when it comes to all this i am looking to get a 1metre motorized dish setup mainly for the footy probs going with the AJ card as prem is not a priority i can easily watch those games online the leagues and cup comps the aj channels show im happy with ive heard that the further north you go the worse the signal but i have asked one or two people and they say that sometimes the signals weak (daytime, bad weather etc) but it gets better evening/night time im in liverpool im just wondering would this be decent set up the technomate tm5402hd,orbital 1m dish, darkmotor motor, black ultra lnb, webro wf100 coax, sac gold sef seal connectors, and brackets thats ?415 fit and install is there anything that you could add to that to make it a better deal? or does that represent good vfm

welcome to DK... for what your after thats a excellent piece of kit which will get you everything between 45e and 45w apart from the weaker birds(BADR5/6)/(NILESAT)/(AMOS) in your location but these need huge dishes in the uk anyway. im in bolton and use a TRIAX TD110 and get 90% of the channels in all weathers. the tuner in the tm5402hd is very sensative and will do what you want in all weathers, the darkmotor is a very good well thought of motor and the inverto black ultra is the lnbf of choice today... personally id go with a TD110 and a STAB 100 motor but thats just me. imho the kit you have chosen will be fine if correctly installed with a good L.O.S., regards mdt

The 5402 Card reader should decode the official AJ card no problem as when patched with original or Patched firmware the card reader becomes multicrypt.

dont get espn added as even though its broadcast on AB7 and the tm5402 has a great tuner in your location i cant see you geting a stable signal in all weather to decode the signal..

@digicon has more of a idea than me concerning signal levels on the tm5402hd as he,s run some tests on a 1m orbital/gibby so wait until he,s been on to see what he says. regards mdt

ive seen quite a few good reports about purplesat but he is expensive so why pay more for the same job? also have you seen some of the monstrosities on the website although they seem to be where there are line of site issue,s... as we know he,s a little full of himself. id say 75% of sat installs can be carried out by anyone(sat enthusiast) with a grasp of diy and a bit of patience and a proffesional should only be called in imho for... 1.. piece of mind, 2. line of site issues/extreme heights, 3. cant be arsed yourself. regards mdt

Totally agree with MDT, in fact I think higher percentage can do their own installs.
                              It's not rocket science.
As mdt stated, only needed if height issue/line of sight/lack of confidence.
I think mostly subcontractors on that site anyway.
