    satellite meter question?

Hi ,I have a Manhattan DSM-4s, satellite meter, when i link it up to a single LNB it works fine, but when i link it up to a Qaud or Dual Lnb it reads (LNB fault) i know that the quad is working fine as i can see the sat channells with it, i know that the wireing set up for the meter is different than on a singel lnb. i have tryed to run a cabel from ( Sat IN) to power the meter up and run the other end into the meter, then another cabel from (SAT out) at the back of the reciver to the LNB, and then the short cabel to the dish.. but im not sure what ports on the lnb to run the (SAT out cabel too? i just have the cabels going to port 1 and the short cable going to port 2, but still getting (LNB fault) any help or advice welcome,, ranger.

you shouldnt need to connect any cables to (lnb/sat/loop out) on the receiver you should be able to go from any port on the quad lnb to the meter and then from the meter to (lnb/sat in)on the receiver.to get your power.
just set it up as you would for a single lnb.the wireing set up should not be any different.

thanks for your ansewr Dick b, I have tryed that, its works fdine on a singel lnb, but the manual says i need to link it for a quad ,but i rember useing it like the way you said , to any port and it worked fine, the only think i can think of , if different models of lnb Quads, are different inside, thanks again for your answer,,
