They both almost identical. The bm can download channel lists straight to the box whereas the tm has them added by usb. However a lot of bm users load there own lists by usb anyway as the lists suit them. The tm has an rf out so you can send the picture of whatever you are watching to a different room. Can't comment on the hd picture of the bm but the tm has excellent hd picture although the blade is reported as matching the quality. The tuner on the tm is very sensitive for picking up fringe satellites. Both boxes appear to have the same level of support. I was in exactly the same position trying to decide between these two and ended up with the tm mainly for the rf out as I have no issues of adding my own channel list by usb. The box has been faultless and had only ever been let by it's tw@ of a user ~~~~ing about with it. Oh one other thing the tm has free adult stuff via ethernet. Don't know if the blade does, not that you should be influenced by that anyway. Atm streaming to the tm is ok but doesn't do ac3 audio which almost all avi brrips are encoded with, another profile may have been developed by now as I haven't checked cause I can stream direct to tv. Don't know what the compatibility is the blade. Hope this helps you decide.

HH has it spot on really the Blade may be nicer looking but the TM has it on support not great at times but at least its there, As far as i am aware for the Blade the last patch was March and that was a shambles people resorted to the earlier January release to get it to work again.

If i had the choice then Go for the TM5402 i just wish there would have been a compromise the facility and support of the 5402 with the looks of the Blade. Now that would have been a great Receiver
