Which sats can I pick up?

I'm in N Ireland and have a spare zone 2 dish. I'm looking to receive BBC Entertainment channel that airs in europe. I'm looking to record a program that airs on it, it doesn't air here in the UK and hasn't done for years.

Which sat can I point my spare dish at to receive BBC Entertainment?

Here's a list of the sats it's available on. Also could anyone check to see if english audio is available on the 13e channel incase I end up having to point the dish to it.

    Thanks

obviously you will need cs to open any of these channels

the polsat one on 13e is in english once its been selected and may be ok for signal on a zone 2 dish

7e is in english but needs cs and may need a larger dish too

I cannot decode either of the 2 on 9e although signals are good

0.8w not opening for me but good signal

4w - good signal but not opening

no signals at all on 7w

both open on 30w with cs and good signals, and both are in english too

good signal on 36e but only audio, cannot decode picture using cs

        no signal on 36e

        hope that helps

if you dont want to go the cs route then you should be able to get a bbc entertainment card(previously bbc prime) from a card supplier for the signal on eutelsat 9a at 9east but you will pay a premium for this unless you have a friend or relative in mainland europe ect as believe it or not uk residents cant subscribe legally as you need a european mainland address. regards mdt

Can soon sort a CS, which sat do you reckon there's more on then 0.8 or 13e?

Also does anyone know what elevation I'd need to put the zone 2 dish at.

                  Sat

You'll find far more on 13 deg and you should get a stronger signal on that sat as well

doesnt matter really but put it to 25 then ajust for the strongest signal on high/low and h/v txps untill peaked. regards mdt

plenty on hotbird using cs, but some are fta if you wish to check hotbird

check king of sat or lyng sat for channel and package details

Ended up BBC Entertainment Poland is a totally different channel to BBC Entertainment Europe so I got another dish I had lying around and put it up too. Now have 3 dishes up . One on 28.2, one on 13.0 and one on 0.8w.

Just wish my dm600 would work now .

a cheap 4 way diseqc switch will allow you to swap between the 3 lnb`s (on the 3 dishes) on your dm600 or any 3rd party receiver

I dont think anybody stated that it was the same channel on the different broadcasters, same thing happens with eurosport, members think its eurosport uk and has the same programming as the french and german ones, never mind others
