    false advertising info

    sky box f3 a few people have trouble wiring box to amp specs say
    Digital audio output: S/PDIF by coaxial and optical;so where is it?

      the specs say it has those sockets,as i wire my boxes to tv with hdmi and can use either spdif or digital out to my onkyo,others are having problems using the hdmi cable to amp.
      the point was why say it has ports when there are none on the box.

        the coaxial s/pdif is there its just to the right of the RS232 and labelled 12v/50ma although there is no sign of the optical output, its probably cheaper to have one or the other than have both due to manufacturing costs

          are you sure m8 as 12v switches used to be common on sat recievers back in the day as a form of switching lnb,s before diseqc was invented by eutelsat. regards mdt

            i asked lew that also,he said maybe used in caravan?but is that a 12v in or out which is a big difference?
