    Eurovox EX8000 HD+ satellite..Help Please !

HI to you all, This is my very 1st post on this site.
I was hoping someone or a few people could really help me out as this is the first visit and i am very new to the Eurovox !
I have just bought the above and wired everything up, I am trying to go through the manual to search for Tv channels but I seem not to be able to get all of the ones I actually wanted in the 1st place ?
Sky Sports 1,2,3, and them all in HD as well.
Do i need to scan a certain Satellite and use a certain satellite.
Could someone be very very kind as to let me know what I can do as most of the channels are blank or scramble ??
Any basic of basic guide would be so much help.
PLease Please i am begging for some expert help but in the briefest and less technical way.
    Step A
    Step B
    Step C

I will be happy to give someone a few quid for their advice and help if they can get this magically working !
    Paypal at the ready
Even a phone call would be magical ? I know I am asking a lot
    Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum Johnno, all information here is given for free by the good people here

Who told you that you could receive these channels with that box? I am sorry to say you wont be able to, but there are a lot of other channels that you can.

I am a cable guy and will let the Sat lads help you out there. I am just the bringer of bad news sorry.

My Partners dad has the cable eurovox and he can recieve everything ! Sky sports.setanta, movies, you name it its all there !
I was told that this was the latest box and that I could also do the same ?
Surely if they can do it on the older box through cable then i can do it with the latest HD box.....even if its just normal sky sports and not HD then that would have to do.
Any more help asap with tuning this thing and getting the right settings etc would be so much appreciated.

      Thanks for your reply anyway,

It can be done with a cable Eurovox as the cable company still use Nagra 1. Sky on Sat is a different matter and I cannot go into it. Especially as the model you have bought is closed source.

As said one of the Sat guys may hopefully come along to answer you.

Sky tv is not viewable without a valid sub, you will get what you pay for with sky.
Virgin Media use Nagra 1 encryption for their tv which is a very old encryption and has been hacked for years..there are companies out there who are using Nagra3 which is not hacked..
Sky is encrypted with NDS VideoGuard which has never publicly been hacked..
To conclude the only way to watch sky tv is buy sub or by cardsharing which discussions about here are not allowed so you will need to use google..
cardshare is not always free thats all i can tell you..good luck!

Basically what your saying is that the Eurovox satellite box that I have bought will never be able to view the full range of sky channels without a subscription ?
No way of hacking in like cable you say and no way of scanning and messing about with different satellites ?

Basically i have bought a top of the range box for nothing then yeah ?
Might as well stick to the sky package i have and send the box back for a refund ??

            Any help would be appreciated
            Cheers

you have it in one you will not open any of the sky channels on astra 28e
with out a official subscription and there is no other way to get them unless you join a circle and share and if the box you have does'nt have a ethernet port on it to connect to your pc you cant even go down that road if you set the box up on a motorised system you can get lots of channels from the other satellites and what you get open depends on if this box
has a card or cam slot or even both then you can use cards an the diablo cam that you can program to open a lot of the channels,
this is why we always say ask before you buy and then you can get
the best supported items and save a lot of cash
