Hi anybody know if these are any good for my first box or would I be better with a dm 800hd

If your up for a challenge then I would recommend getting the dm800hd as it requires you install an image, install bouquets and install softcam, and you can completely change the operating system.
On the other hand the Openbox run on locked firmware which you can not change, and its very simple there is still a bit of reading to do, but its much easier to do.
Correct me if i'm wrong, I'm still learning too. -
It really depends on what you want the openbox 'works' pretty much out the box but you get what you are given and not much room for change or personal flavour.
The dm800 is more customisable but is also a steeper learning curve.
Personally id go with the dm800, but if u just want something that works not too fussed about about a program guide then perhaps the openbox would suit you moreComment
