?200 to ?300 to spend on a sat box but which one

    Hi Guys,

I now have ?200 to ?300 to get a HD sat box.Would be greatful for any advice on which one to buy ,I have never used one so I need one thats easy to set up and use . I like the spider box ,also blade box ,the dreambox is a bit to costly for me. Would love a twin tuner one if I could afford it ,if not a single one will do. Thanks in advance for any help

the vu+duo original is a good box,not the clone as that has had many people complaining of bad components and safety issues, duo is a twin tuner box and if you get an internal hard drive fitted recordings, the other vu is the solo even the clone gets a good word .

        Go for Vuplus Uno!
Duo is OK if U need 2 tuners,,,but the ram's memory size is bad and sucks!
And do not buy a clones,,,they are not worth the money paid for!

Taking into account that the new Duo2 has been announced and that the current Duo is almost 4 years old, My money would be on the ET9200/9500 for a twin tuner or if you can hold out for the Dual tuner card for the Uno then you could save around ?100.

thanks for the replys guys, I might go for the vu uno ,I just want a good HD picture and am sure theres plenty of support groups for the vu ,if I need any help or just ask you guys. What is the picture quailty like on the vu boxs

I ws on this site last night SatStore.TV - Leading Distributer of Dreambox Receivers for UK & Europe.

VU+ DUO - Twin Tuner High Definition Satellite Receiver

                ?205.00

DREAMBOX DM800 SE SATELLITE RECEIVER - SIM...
                ?214.9

I would think these are clone boxes ,has anybody dealt with satstore before if so are they trust worthy and helpful

Also I want to connect it to my pc to stream the footie for my friends

at those prices would suggest clone, original vu+duo around ?289,and ?343 for duo with a 500 hdd.

This is just my personal opinion but do not by a Duo its old hat now compared to the Uno,9500,Ultimo etc.. that all use the very latest chipset at present plus the fact the tuners in the Duo for fringe reception are crap.

The Uno represents good value for ?239 delivered it may only be a single tuner at present but the Twin Tuner's will be available from the 3rd quarter this year hopefully for around ?40-?50 which will then make this a far superior box to the Duo at present.

Like a say just an opinion and i am sure you will make the right decision
