I got a diablo cam v2.3 and a cas 3, i programmed the cam with the latest underworld 162 file, put it into my TM5400 ci+ and made some changes in my technomate menu, turned off my TM and back on went to Thor 1w and Eut 16e but keep getting "no or bad signal" and "scrambled channel" messages.

please advise

you might have to change the key file in it m8 or you might not have the settings set right in the cam been a while since i used one so not sure of them

I think i got it sorted, i loaded the latest data bin file onto the cam, so i will try this.

Tried the cam again yesterday with the new data bin file loaded but no joy still getting "no or bad signal" and "scrambled channel" messages.
My Tm is recognising the cam all right and i can go into change settings and stuff, i am lost now, dont know what else to do.

first was you able to get digialb channels before this happend ?
i ask this because you did'nt say if you could, next is your configuration
set correctly in the cam menu? also can you open the conax chns
on thor 1w ? and have you loaded to-days new 1.63 file?
if not try it and only load the the 1.63 dup file do not load the data file
then after you have load the file set your configuration like this
and then you should get all th channels open

put the cam in the receiver slot and turn on
press menu and>go to common interface and you will
see the file name ie:underworld 1.36 highlight it
and click>ok on the next panel go to [4] configuration
and click>ok on the next panel set the configuration
to the following settings useing you vol and chn buttons
on your remote to scroll and change the menu's

[3] PMT - [on]
[4] emulators [on]
[5] N2 AU [off]
[6] Emu priority [1:emu-2:cards]

after you have set the cam config to the above settings
exit the menu and turn the receiver off and on again to
lock the settings in the cam menu,now the chns will open.

and you dont have to format the cam everytime you load
a new file the files overwrite one anouther
if you do format the cam you loose all your cam settings
and then you need to do the above again

i wasnt able to get digitalb or thor channels only free channels, i am patching my TM and really the only sat i am viewing is digitv 0.8w.

I will load the 163 file and try again. to see how it goes.

load the patch and the cam with 1.63 only
no data bin and set the cam configuration as i posted
but set the N2 A/U to OFF and everything will open

when you say load the patch is that the last patch i used and do i load it the same way i previously loaded ie. with usb pen?

if the patch you have on the technomate is'nt opening the digi-tv channels
and you have loaded the latest tm softcam key file and the channels
still dont open. then try the latest and load it with your memory stick
and you need to load the cam to open the conax canal+nordic chns
that the patch does'nt open, once both are loaded the channels will open

Hello guys me again

I did what you said as above after reprogramming and changing the settings in common interface, went to Thor 1w and only 3 new channels opened BBC entertainment, Showtime and bloomberg nothing else, then went to EUT 16e and nothing at all opened.

However i went into my TM Menu>System Info>CAS menu and there is no info or keys for Conax, would this be the problem? and if so where/how can i get/add the Conax keys?

the cam has nothing to do with the receiver patch or keys menu's
all the conax files and keys are on the cam chip
and you wont find any conax keys in the receiver menu
there are non the patch cant open the channels in conax
on thor did any digi-tv chns in nagra encryption open?
and if you have some conax chns open it can only be a cam setting
stopping the chns open just be aware there are conax channels on a different rom on thor that dont open look though the conax channels
to find the chns that are open there are about 150 that open, just
check slowly the cam needs a few moments on a channel before it opens
and fast chn hopping just stops the cam from opening any channels then
you need to turn off and on again to clear the cam memory

I re-scanned thor 1w and got more channels on my system (most of whats on digitv 0.8w) and they opened up but there was still some of the conax channels that would not open.

Also i also re-scanned eut 16e and added more channels but nothing will open what so ever any further advise please.

Having read 1 of the other threads it certainly looks bleak for the forseeable future, looks like i may have entered into this stuff a few years to late!!!!!
