Sky+ Box constant problem

My Sky+ box constantly needs to be re-booted/reset or formatted to work. It stays on the red standby unless I complete one of these which then generally fixes the issue. Is this an issue with the hard disk or does this just happen all the time? (I have done this 4 times this week already)
Does my Sky box need help or do I need a new Sky box?

if its an old white sky+ box is a known fault, and as the newer HD boxes are cheap to buy on ebay or gumtree I would recommend changing it asap and then ringing sly to get the card "paired" to the new box

this also has the advantage of getting HD with a few free HD channels like for example bbc1 HD and itv1 HD too

I had a problem with a HD box and rang sky they said it would cost ?130 to come and look at box and replace, so told them I was cancelling and they came and did it all free. So may be worth ringing
