how to set up a skybox 511HDPVR

Hi all,

I AM NEW USER OF SKY BOX AND I AM WIONDERING IF SOMEBODY WOULD HELP ME SETTING UP MY SKYBOX 511 HD PVR FOR THE FIRST TIME AND HOW TO ADD NEW SOFTWARE TO IT.

if by skybox you mean like an openbox, check the openbox section of this forum for answers

it is my first time joining a forum and I am still little bit lost.

Once again thank you for trying to help. My box is called Skybox 511 HD PVR. It was installed by someone earlier this year and it was working fine, but now I need to update the software and I have no idea how to do it. It has stopped and my son is driving me mad because he wantch to watch his cartoons.

Without your help i have no idea what to do as my installer is not answering his phone.

not sure you have the correct model number there, maybe its an S11 not 511 ( S for Sugar eleven )

I doubt it needs a firmware update, more likely your sub over the internet has expired

in any case you need the openbox forum here
