and it will do what you require. sound box by all accounts...

It will almost certainly be better, but it will probably also cost a fair bit more too. Speaking of which, any rumours over the pricing yet?

With all its bells and whistles and top spec broadcom chipset and processor i doubt for just standard satellite viewing the Duo2 will be any faster than its older sibling the Duo.

Theres only one reason its been beefed up and thats for media playback and hbbtv duties.

Thats entirely your choice if you have done your homework and you feel that is the receiver for you then go for it, IMHO i would either go for the Uno single tuner i know but the Dual tuner should be available from September onwards if you can wait or if your feeling flush then the Ultimo.

The Vu's have slightly and only slightly more support image wise than the ET series of receivers, Might be worth posting your question in the ET section to see what owners think there.

Yes the ET9200 can record 1 channel while you watch another, I am not sure how you mean the EPG is poor on the dreambox on the openbox yes maybe but the Dreambox is linux and so is the ET9200 so uses identical programs to download and display the EPG system

Unless of course you are referring to a DM500s and not a DM800
