Hi Anno. As i understand it you wanted to watch sat tv in your bedroom with a second box. Have you thought of attaching a video sender to your s10 box and sending signal to your tv in the bedroom. If you get a video sender with magic eye remote you can change channels from your bedroom as well. Or another way is for you to get a second s10 box or similar.

here in the uk freeview is not a "loose term" at all, it is quite specific and relates to the digital terrestrial tv system Freeview / Home from tv transmitters and in his case from winter hill tv transmitter near bury which serves the north west where the OP says he is living, freeview has nothing to do with satellite at all

this starview combo non-lan is only any good for free to air channels on cable or on satellite, nothing else, and especially not freeview, it could be reprogrammed as a spiderbox but with having no lan is still restricted to free to air channels, like freesat which comes in through a "sly" type dish pointed at 28.5e freesat - Subscription free HD Satellite TV through a Digital Box and several other free to air channels too

the fact is that to get an aerial rf loop out in the manner he requires he needs a spiderbox 9000 standard box or a tm5402 box or something very similar with an internal modulator, not a cheap openbox

then the channel on the main box (spider or tm) can have its rf output viewed using the analogue tuner on a remote tv like say in a bedroom

to achieve this with the s10 he needs a videosender, or an rf modulator and coax to the remote tv, or use an old vcr as a sender and again coax aerial cable to the remote tv

in all of the examples above the channel on the s10 will be seen by tuning in the analogue tuner of the remote tv

that is how an s10 channel is viewed elsewhere, and applies to the majority of other sat boxes too

seeing as the OP does not want freesat at the second location, he may as well sell the sv combo non-lan as its only any good for freesat which he does not want

HI. Can Starview be patched so the Op can at least watch some scrambled channels on different satellite...

Hi. I think you are mis-understanding the situation. As already mentioned if you have a single LNB you can watch different channels on the two boxes but channels have to be same polarity. You cannot watch one channel on Vertical and one on Horizontal both channels need to be either Vertical or Horizontal.
If you have dual or multipe LNB you can watch whatever channel on both boxes so long as they are opened in one way or other.

                    Regards
