    Brand New Box !!

    Hi guys, Iv'e decided to invest in a new box. My last been a SVHD combo (and we all know what happened their!)

    So not to be sting I thought I would open it up for discussion.

    1. I need a box wich is HD and 3D.

    2. Has Cam and USB slots PVR functions or the abillity to have a hard drive.

    3. Good menu and is currently receiving a lot of the best programming (stable) low or no monthly cost.

    4. Easy to flash or plug and play!! a big one for me. Can not be doing reverse engineering and code deciphering...I have a life people!

    5. Good EPG good and maybe customisble operating system.

    So far my searches have narrowed down the Protek 9760HD Ip. Pros: plug and play cons: doesn't have all my requiremets.

    VU+DUO HD or DUO2 dont know enough about it.

    Blade 700 again need to find out more.

    So please give me your insights and receive a free cookie . Let the my box is bigger and better than yours debate commnce here. Thanks guys.

      you could actually reprogram your sv combo into a spiderbox and use that in actual fact (details in the sv stickys)

      by far the best box above is the vu, but it will require more work than a bespoke box

      the blade bm7000s will fulfil most of what you require and is easy to flash and use

      as for cs, you will have to google about that aspect and costs involved

          svhd + lan works on sat,maybe your is a non lan,the vu+duo original is an old box now still good can take internal hdd,dont buy clones as they have more problems,vu is open sourced many people working means better support.sv dont have support=doorstop,cams are loaded inside box with firmware.
          linux boxes usually have a 7 day epg,others may have now and next.
          blade is a single tuner box good by all reports and closed source.
          not going to mention the ultimo 3 tuner box as that is nice with 3 tuners,remember a fixed dish or motorized you will also need to google card sharing and its against the rules,without it you will get bad or scrambled.
          the duo has dropped in price to be replaced with the 2nd generation later on.feel free to shout

              How much work is involved with this box? What are they capable of. Dual tuner does that mean c@ble aswell??

              Where is good place to get one (not a clone)?
