    tv link problems

Im having troubles connecting my tm9100 to one of them tv links. Iv got the tv link connected in my bedroom and i have the picture and sound but cant change channels.

iv had a look at the settings on my box but theres nothing really much to set. just a tick box to put the uhf modulator on then a test pattern which it wont let me check, a sound enable which is checked. the sound subcarrier,ch no. and fine tune.

Any one got any ideas. Its not faulty as i have 2 and both dont work.

    cheers

tv links need a 9v power supply on the rf out to work....as far as im aware tm,s dont have this facility....
on the sky box only rf2 can work a tv link, when you switch the power on in the install menu...and rf1 can only carry sound and picture....

cheers mate thought something was up as i went and bought another as i thought it was a faulty tv link and that still didnt work.

also in the rf menu there being no mention about power and the red light on the tv link never came on.

So is there any thing else i can do to be able to change the channels on my tv up stairs with still only using one receiver? I have coax cable runing from my main box in living rm to tv in bedroom.

Or would i have to use a signal sptitter and buy new box?

      cheers

yeah maplins sell those wireless video senders for about 25quid and you can change chanels with these,,,theres a remote sensor that sticks at the side of the sensor on the box and its all done without cabling...

do you loose the pic/sound quality if you do it like that and not with coax though. or is that the only way without buying another receiver?

          cheers

Ryan, Ive already explained them to you and remember the interfreance you may get..
Best thing is get one of them but only use it to change channel if you dont like picture quality..

Cheers didn't realise you ment that you could still use coax with a wireless video sender and just use it to change channels thought u ment u could only do that with a tv link.

              Cheers

Any ideas if this signal booster will do the trick for me and work with the existing tv link i have as i could power it with a 12v adaptor which would give the tv link the power that it normally gets from a rf2 output.

Don't forget that some digisenders affect your wireless broadband! I had this problem when I had to sort one out for a mate , in the end I had to use a tv link !
