So it's come down to it.

So it's come down to it. I got the readies and im juggling between the Vu+Duo or a blade7000s.

Does any one know what getting more channels. I don't realy want to be dealing with subscriptions. I suppose the other option would be a Protek 9760hd.

What to do?? What to do??

as mentioned above, a HD receiver will get exactly the same channels from a dish as any other receiver, and without a cs of some sort you will decode the same too, very little without a card or sub, mainly free to air

a spiderbox or protek has the cs gift with it so opens more due to that cs

so when buying a box its more a case of budget and what you wish it to do, and its expansion capabilities too, and has nothing to do with the channels unless cs is considered

So longs your prepared to go down a little bit of an " unofficial " route then grab a blade 7000HD for plug and play ( near enough ) grab a VU for a mess about and a hobbie box.

I have a blade and a vu solo... For ease of use the Blade wins hands down... The only issue is the EPG is very unreliable - but there's workarounds.
The vu has an excellent EPG... But is buggy.. Think of the Blade as an xbox, and the VU as a PC running Linux and you won't go far wrong.!
They both do the same job... Just in different ways.
