New enthusiast needs help for sports channels!!

    Hi,

I am pretty new to this and have set up my own system, just a few questions I know you wise people can help me with!

firstly I will give you some details:

I am based in Newcastle in the north east of England

I have a spiderbox 5000SD (going to upgrade once I have figured out all of the sports channels!) and a triax 1.1 metre motorised dish

I am wondering exactly which beams/satellites I should be receiving?

    I am currently receiving:

    13E, 19.2E, 30W, 5W, 1W, 0.8W, 4.8E, 7E, 9E, 16E (not tring??) 23.5E(45 channels) and 28.2E.

What I ideally need is a list of sports channels on all of these satellites plus info on the satellites I am not picking up which I should with my 1.1 metre dish.

Thanks in advance for any help that I am lucky enough to receive!!

    Dean

you seem to have most of them but also try 42e and 39e and 10e, 12.5w and 15w too

check kingofsat or lyngsat for what is on where

you also won't open any of the sport channels without a subscription or a sea lion

            yes

            no

I would not have mentioned them if they were not available
there are some others you should pick up like badr on 26e too

and the statement above in post #3 is not true, you will definitely get some sports channels using biss keys or softcam keys, like PLTV on 10e with biss and nova sport and diema on 39e with softcam keys, so a sub or sea lion is an extra and is complemented by biss and softcams on boxes

ramjet just noting so the OP does not get confused but he wont get PLTV on 10? east he has the 5000SD and its a HD channel a HD Receiver would be needed, you will of course as ramjet states get the others with keys.

He did also say he is going to upgrade though so i suspect
that means going HD & therefore should get PLTV HD

I would say go for a TM5402HD as they are such an easy box to operate.

Obviously for the more seriously minded, then a Dreambox 800se HD would be good.
