hd channels

hello there
can anyone help me i have a hd box but can not tune in to hd channels do i need to change my lnb on my dish or is it something else any information would be gratefully accepted thanks

How old is your lnb?
I think all hd channels have a symbol rate of 30000 so make sure you have them transponders tuned in

What receiver have you got m8?..do you have a cam?.. have you set your transponder settings right..what H D channel's do you want to open?.. if you elaborate a little bit more i'm sure you'll get an answer.

hi there i have a topfield 700 hsci hd box when i type the transponder number in i am not getting a good enough signal to tune in to the hd channels so this is why i thought it could be my lnb my lnb is about a year old but is just a basic one so i was wondering if this could be the problem or do i need to realign my dish thanks

If you still have your lnb box it will say hd ready or non hd..that could be the prob..

lnbs are NOT standard and hd an lnb is an lnb most hd stb req a signal of 50 percent or more if you are not getting hd ch then realign dish to max change lnb most sat meters dont show you all transponders only hor hi hor low ver hi ver low try this first dish lnb then cable if no joy must be stb
