    Hello everyone

    Hi guys,

I have just joined this community and I am relatively new to this digital world! so first of all

I would like to buy a satellite decoder that is easy to setup for a newbie and you can also use to browse the Internet (youbute for example).
I have been reading a lot about the DM800 HD which seems to be everywhere. Do you recommend this box for a starter?

This may be a dummy question but...where would the satellite dish on top of my block of flats be pointing at? Can I use the satellite cable that goes into my flat to watch free channels?

    Thanks everyone

YouTube on the DM800 is quite flakey, it's wasn't a pleasurable experience using it for me on my 800. It is a good box though

You can plug your DM800 into your existing satellite cable that's on your block of flats, which will point at 28.2e if you are in the UK. This will give you free to air channels, but not pay channels.

There are ways to get pay channels a lot cheaper, but we're no telling ye how on here. Google card sharing for more on this nefarious practice that members of DK would never partake in

Hi southpaw83, thanks for the quick response. I think I am going to get the DM800HD and start playing with it and see how far I get with that stuff....:-)
