How to solve this error "opening serial port is failed"
use an xp pc with proper com port
and use the openbox section as explained in the last post
Had the problem myself a while back on different box turned out to be the port on my pc, had it in the wrong one. Try a different port on your pc or box, if not updated your drivers for your pc, check if they are ok.
