    CNN launches on Freesat

Freesat has announced the launch of the international news service CNN on to the platform.

CNN International provides news and information services across world news, politics, business, sport and more in over 200 countries.

In addition to CNN International, Rural TV and JML Home & DIY will be launching on Freesat on 24 March. Rural TV provides news and entertainment to the rural community. JML Home & DIY offers discounted deals for DIY enthusiasts.

Freesat managing director Emma Scott commented: "The launch of CNN International with its world-class reputation for global news and feature programming is an incredibly exciting addition to our line-up, we are delighted to have CNN on board."

All channels will automatically be added via viewers' Freesat digital boxes or integrated TVs.

    Thanks Tommy

But in all fairness how in hell can Emma Scott M.D Freesat get overly excited about CNN joining Freesat, hand on heart how often would you every switch on CNN ? if it had been Fox News or CBS news I would be prowed of myself, Emma Scott fails to understand that CNN is on nearly every platform across the world and why would they turn down Freesat UK's offer ?

And I see listed as up coming channels for Freesat Rural TV and JML Home & DIY, my God here comes all the crap nobody watches, all freesat will become is a means to broadcast the channels that Sky need off there receivers to fit new channels on Sky have only 1000 places on there receivers channels on Astra 2 is up to 1034 or so, Freesat turning into a bin for Sky .
