New system required

After a bit of friendly help here, I'm looking for a new system to replace my old TM9100 motorised system. i use to watch 1w before it was encrypted but that was a while ago mainly for motorsport, the odd film & something for the kids....

would like HD with record option. have wifi and lan connections if that makes a difference.

Did have a previous post that mentioned VU box and some other models but it got deleted before I could research it so any help would be great.

I don't use the ** (banned word) at all don't know if this make a difference in my options....

yes twin tuner like a vu duo original with shotgun cables plus the other thing we cannot talk about,boxes have dropped in price as the newer mk2s will be launched soon.

If you don't need a twin tuner (ie you record when your not in) then a DM800se or a VU solo would be good for your needs, or an Uno if you want to spend a little more and have the option for a dual tuner later. Anything else you may want to know PM me

All depends on your Budget . The VU+ Ultimo is a cracking bit of kit but quite pricey.

Thanks for the reply's peeps....budget not that big possible around ?150 for box, already have lnb with 2 or more outputs and twin cable so that's sorted.

Will check out a bit more as still not sure if the satellite or broadband tv box thingy is the way to go.

Is the ** thing the only way to get the best out of a satellite receiver now or is there another way??

sat box needs a sat dish for signal and bb for opening by the other***to get the best out of it or a freesat box to give you bbcs and itvs etc.
