    Fitting a dish...how easy is it ???

I am still in the process of doing some research before i decide what to buy for my pc. i know that there is not much support for PCI satellite cards on here, but i have decide that i want a Technisat HD2 pci card with the additional CI slot. I think this will allow me to card share one day when i have more knowledge & experience. I recon that a 1mtr dish would probably be big enough (i live in the midlands). A motorised dish seems to be the way forward, as i want to have access to as many satellites as possible, but i am not sure what i exacly need regarding the actual motor. Also the installation of the dish is not appearing to be that straight forward. I have to say that i a little bit confused....can anyone possibly spare their time and offer advice ?? Many thanks to you all.

to be honest it should be quite easy, buy a sat finder kit in maplin for 19.99 or online i bought one never fitted a dish before and within the hour of assembling the dish and fixing it i was online with astra 28.2e with a 60 cm zone 1 dish

1, he is on about a motorised system and that is more difficult..
          2, a 60cm dish is a zone 2 dish not zone1..

Thanks for the advice...i knew i could count on the good folk on here to give straight answers....i have another question....I have noticed that alot of people on here only have a 90cm dish, is that because why they live ?? Or does having a 1mtr dish make all that difference ? Would i really benefit by having a 1mtr dish, or would a 90cm actually do the job ?? I am after keeping the dish size as small as possible, as it will be overhanging next doors property when fitted. I cannot forsee any problems from him when i ask his permission to put it where i want it to go, but i think 90cm sounds better that 1mtr..?? Also another quick one, how much of a rotation does a motorised dish actually make to be able to recieve from the different satellites ???

im in the north east and iv got a 95cm and it picks everything up. Mine also hangs over next door and right by next doors bedroom.

No good when you are changing over from 28.2E to 1W to watch a bit of private spice at 1am lmfao

You may want to start from this link. It will tell you where your dish will be facing on your house. it has every photo of every house in UK and beyond. Just put your address and drag the red pointer where you want your dish to be fixed
