theres loads of sats alot have non english channels on but still good for footie, xxx and music (as mosts english any way)
Loads of xxx some will just open with emu, more with a cam end even more with cs (which we obv cant discus) and the are not just the lame ~~~~ like on the english channels.

28.2 is astra the uk sky sat and as you move round to 1W thor you will hit alot more good sats with 100s/1000s of channels on.

defo worth it for what you will pay. Think of what you pay fo a 12mth sub to sky

My dish will not have avery good sight of "west" how far is the furthest west satellite i really need to recieve from ? ie, according to my research, PAS-9 (58 degrees West) is the satellite furthest west my system will be able to receive...is there anything good watching on this satellite ?? If i do need to get this far "west" then i shall have to buy a "offsett" bracket to mount the dish onto. I have noticed that most of the satellites that are commonly used are close together. Is this true, or am i completely wrong ??

I would sujest if you have not done it before...to take out side a tv and receiver set everything up on a power extention switch on the receiver plug it in etc, then you can see if you have good signal and the right channel, I myself have a old portable in the loft connected to an old receiver so I can run & ceck everything is alright before I come back down from the Attic.

Its very handy.....especially if you have loads of cable and switches also connected or maybe more than one motorised satellite dish like I have for multiroom viewing....

That is a very good idea, I have decided to put the dish in a new position high up on the south facing wall, so all satellites can be picked up...i got myself a T & K bracket today from Focus DIY for ?15. I have a mobile elevating work platform, so getting 30ft up is not a problem...however, taking a Tv outside is not possible, as my receiver is a PCi card, so unless i drag my whole pc outside, it is impossible. I am looking out for a satfinder, maybe maplins will be visited tomorrow. If anyone can recommend a particular satfinder from maplins i will be grateful...Thanks for your input...

yeah a south facing wall is spot on. I didnt have one so had to point it over the roof. Theres nothing really past 7W thats english any way. I normally just watch stuff from 28.2E to 1W.

Once i got a signal i just used a cheap sat finder about ?5 ebay to fine tune once i got a signal as i didnt want to pay loads for one to only ever use it once or twice.
