    What is needed for a full set up

    Hi Guys

    Please can some one help me, Im current a sky subscriber but wish to find a complete alternative as the ever rising costs are crippling i want to know what i need to buy for a card sharing set up,

    I dont live in a cable area so it has to be satilite, I currently have a sky dish installed and have a 3mg broadband connection and i have a budget of ?300, please can some one point me in the right direction my requirements are all kids chanels music and sports channels anything extra are bonuses.

    probably a vu+ duo twin tuner with internal HDD fitted

    then ideally you go motorised in future

    cannot help you on the cs on this forum though, that subject is a no-no

      ok if I find a VU+ box is it just plug and play or is it a technical set up

          none of these boxes are plug and play, all require technical setup and as you said you had done some reading already I assumed you already knew there was some work to be done by the owners

          you have the simple option already, anything else will require some work and reading from yourself, and to emulate sly plus HD a lot more work by yourself as mdt correctly pointed out

            if u want an easy to setup box get an openbox, pretty cheap too at 50-60?
