    nanoxx 9600ip

    Hi guys....
could someone tell me a bit about this box please nanoxx 9600ip....
I know a dealer who is selling these for 100 quid...he says its opening 30w,,nova hellas on hotbird,,and dutch stuff on astra 1..was gonna get a gamma but i think he might have changed my mind...apparently all i need to do is plug it into my router, which is handily placed by my tv and voila..he says he can set the box up so all i do is plug in..
the server has been up and running a while reliably, and totally free..
i am totally new to this side of things and could do with a bit of advise on it really....
Do i need to put my ip address into box?,,he says i dont, just the server adddress...and by all accounts it updates itself, sounds too easy??
also do i need to configure router, open ports etc so box can get online?

Better off with a Dreambox, It will do far more than a IpBox on your network, but I suppose its nice a cheap if its a good fully functioned model.

if you are looking for a cheap linux box with loads of support mate get the tm9100s. Thats what iv just got and its spot on. Totally future proof.

Willl do everything a dreambox and technomate does. You can cardshare on it and has cam slot for if a decent cam come out soon to open new encryption, 2 Cardslots, PVR for if you install a IDE HDD, Memory card slot which you can use to boot different images on startup, optical link to connect to 5.1 plus loads more

I like the idea of paying for a cam to receive channels but only if you get some good ones and like the idea evan more of just using emu as this is the easiest way espec on a linux as you can download it and the keys straight onto the box but again i think whats the point on just using emu if you can only get i few channels.

I hope that things will change in a few mts but at the end of the day everyone wants to open as much as they can on a motorised set up as i have recently learnt and at the mo there is only one way to do this.

I no you cant really talk about cs on here but i think its a massive part in this hobbie at the mo if you wanna get some decent channels.

i hope its ok posting this

btw how come we cant discuss cs on here any more

all i keep hearing is about the dreambox and quite frankly its an ugly looking so and so!!!...i just wanna open chanels and this box seems a cheap option, and if it gives me 3-4 months for free
then that suits me..patching a box or programming a card or diablo is easy anyway and this is my preffered option...also is there a future proof box out there!!!!..i think not...and the dreambox is no exception,,take away cs and whats it got??..my old octagon box will take any card you can frow at it..all i really wanted to know was is it that easy to set up!!!!!

i no i wish there was just thought its good as most things open by using either a cam, card or cs and this will cope with all 3 and cost me ?120 new. lmao sorry if i was raving about it a bit too much

well yes its easy im a noob and have managed to get all channels open on all sats.

yeah once you get a good share circle your laughing its well worth it as you could go out and buy a cam and programmer at the mo and only open a fraction of channels and run the risk of it being no good in a couple of months.

Dont knock a linux box till you try it lmao

Totally future proof eh What does that mean ?

                          THE TRUTH
                          The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

                            Sadiq...
I am sure paul will set it up for you before he posts it to you!!,i was with him sat while he did mine and it took him all of 10 mins...when i got it home i just plugged it in to net and it worked straight away!! absolutely nothing to do!! i have put a loop from my tm and still use this for positioning....
the chnls clear instantly without a couple of seconds delay like the diablo and no pics breakup at all....
Apparently the server is run by the manufacturers of this box so they get their money through you buying the box!!!..and exclusive to nanoxx boxes!!!
I can see other manufacturers doing the same in coming months and this is defo the way forward!!
Also it still is NOT illegal to do this at this moment...so WE SHOULD be able to talk about it!!!
It could be a couple of years before we get a proper ruling on this...so enjoy...
