if it looks straightforward then do it yourself... you must realise that when a professional installer asks ?200+ he has overheads of petrol,PLI, uses proffesional meter,tools ect and has to pay vat to the goverment.. it also seems that down south the price of things is more expensive also as up here it would be around ?150 for a installer to do it for you if it was straightforward. i got quoted ?320+vat for a CAI company to install my 1.25 gibby/stab motor and for them to provide 3 k,s and a 3m length of pole so it doesnt seem too excessive,regards mdt

my mate got a tm 2600 motor for ?39 and the guy charged him ?50 to fit
