Hi I need help. I have a HD box in my bedroom but wanted a Sky + box as wanted to record and pause etc.. as sky are asking to much for one I bought one from someone on gumtree and it was like new and thought I got a bargain for ?25.when I got home I set it up and called sky and asked them to pair it with my card, after giving them the number and various numbers they asked for, he said there was a problem and I should take it back as it's registered to someone else, I said I know I bought it this morning from them, he just said take it back and get your money back as there is nothing we can do to pair this box sorry. I did take it back and the guy was sound, will I have the same problem if I buy another one from someone else? or how can I get round this without buying a overpriced one from sky. hope someone can advise me. as long as the box is outside its 12 month warranty the seller is free to sell it, and you are free to buy it and pair it
I assume that seller was doing so inside the first 12 months which means its still sly`s box and not his to sell -
