No channels on Protek 9760HD

Ill be honest im a complete novice. Dish is up and all connected. The manual might as well be in a foreign language to me.

I have a 1m motorised dish and the box has not been scanned.

you need to patch your box with relevent firmware.. extract onto usb stick then load. if you use the search function and put in protek/maxx1000 and read the threads everything you need has already been discussed with files,instructions,channel lists ect ect. regards mdt

heres the patch for your 9760 and also a motorised channel list favorites(dont open fav4 with kids about) may not be to your taste but will get you going after loading patch do a "restore factory defaults" then load the channel list then put your co-ordinates in (if using usals)
if the motor/dish has not been aligned you can do it with the protek but its much easier with an old technomate or proper meter.

its not really a full sat list but does cover the main ones.

I have lost a lot of channels on SkyUK this last week..Sky sports 1 and 2 and most movies..if I download the channel list can I fix this manually?

I have noticed that these have gone also! but I don't think updating a new list will help (someone correct me if I'm wrong) as I think what we get is out of our control.......

curious if box did not get a new scan as channels move,are the working bouquets on a different setting,like on a linux box as i never really checked tp info for non working ones.
