Freesat Channels on SKY+ HD box in ROI

Hi all, I am new to this forum & looking for some advice. I live in ROI Ireland & have 2 SKY+ HD boxes, I no longer have subscription on the boxes but wish to use them as freesat boxes, but with the HD box the channels stay on the Irish EPG even with the viewing card removed, with the old white sky+ box & standard boxes when the card was removed the box would default to UK channels. I have tried a hard reset & full system reset with the card removed but to no avail. There is cards I can get for ?30 that are English but I have heard there is a code or something that can be entered to recieve the UK EPG, all help welcome, Thanks

cheers, but utube only tells you how to convert sky digibox into freesat reciever - not sky+hd box
