Opening files

I have tried to download numerous files off the site to install onto the USB stick and onto my protek box but for some reason cant open ANY of the files. I have downloaded firefox as instructed...nothing wrong with computer as all other files are opening OK...can anyone give any advice or help please??

I use winrar and winzip for this, but you could try the free program 7zip instead

Like ramjet said use WINRAR it's the best in my opinion.
