Thanks m8 have set that up on the box. Will get out tommorow and move the motor tail up a bit. Do have trees etc and a flat but there is a big space inbetween not sure if thats stopping the signal

Hi. In my opinion the flat may not be a problem but the trees may be. You will only know when you start to look for 5 west. Good luck

just factory restored my openbox and tried to scan in 28.2 but its brought in some 23.5 and only a couple of 28.2e channels. So theres only 98 channels

if your lat is set correctly DO NOT ajust it by moving the motor tail up as your dish will not track the arc correctly. regards mdt

then your motor assembely needs moving east then about 5 degrees as your usals thinks that position is 28.2e. regards mdt

Sorted guys. Tilted the dish up a bit to check and the signal up at 75 ish on 13 and 19 tightened it up all good :-)

Hi. Have you found 5 west yet???? If you HOTBIRD perfect then 5 west may need to move tail a bit up again. If you get 5 west and find that you lose 13 and 19 east then just flex the dish at the bottom and the signals should come in. Do not adjust motor or dish height just dish angles or skew the LNB a bit.
                Regards,

in that case, check the following from e to w

                    42e , 39e , 16e , 10e , 7e , 5e , 0.8w

the more you get the better the arc

and the holy grail is from 30w to 42e for the uk (generally speaking) , on the stronger sats anyway

and use a marker pen to mark the pole , mounts and dish fixing, that way its easy to get back to right now if you do tweak it and make it worse
