1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate 2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about, 3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives
Yes i watched it on 0.8? west on a feed from LFCTV, wish i had'nt now like LOL.
mate if you want to watch games that are not televised then you need to keep an eye on the feed hunting sites such as satteliweb which the feed hunters populate and give the info to the site.
Watch out though as some times the sat and beam they are on are not receivable in the UK and they could also transmit encrypted or even in MPEG 4:2:2 which you either need an AZbox which can display the picture or a Linux receiver which can stream it via VLC on your laptop or PC.
Luckily my HTPC is beside my VU so i just streamed it to that and watched it on the TV

What is 4:2:2 ? Could I view this on a VU+ Solo ?
I always keep an eye on satilliweb but never watched a match with one of the feeds, I always thought it would have been encrypted.

Its basically how the MPEG picture is encoded, all Satellite receivers will decode the standard MPEG 4:2:0 no problem but sometimes studios encodes in the 4:2:2 rate which allows for higher standards but which cannot be viewed normally.
Your Solo can tune the channel in and you will have audio but no video due to the standard 4:2:2 but if you stream back to your Laptop/PC and have VLC do the stream part then you can see the picture as a computer has more codecs available than a standard sat box.
I think there is only the AZbox brand that can decodes 4:2:2 at present, The other option is to have a Sat Tuner card in a PC

the old quali-tv 1080 stb,s could resolve 4.2.2 also and you still see them popping up on e*** from time to time if your interested, regards mdt

Ok first off you find the feed that has the Match on in oother words the Satellite and the relevant frequency tune this in on your Linux receiver you will have Audio but probably no video if its a 4:2:2 feed.
Then goto either your laptop or PC what ever you use making sure you have VLC media player installed, enter the IP address of your linux receiver in your browser so example 192.168.0.1 thsi will bring up the webif for the box, all you have to do then is choose the new feed you just stored on your box and click on the little TV at the side which says stream this will download a little .m3u file which you click and open with VLC and that will give you Video and audio on your Laptop/PC which inturn you can stream to the TV if you have the relevant connections.
Obviously not all feeds are encoded in 4:2:2 some are standard 4:2:0 which you can view as normal through the box but the former 4:2:2 needs to go through VLC.
You could always swap your box if that way inclined for a AZbox which can handle the 4:2:2 encode without any other help straight to the TV.
Thanks for that will give a go.So you are sayin that the pc will pick up the sat signal wirelessly or do I plug in ethernet cables to the pc?
I am assuming that you already have your Linux receiver connected into your router via ethernet or wireless dongle, the PC does not pick up the sat signal your box does the PC does the 4:2:2 stream decoding and nothing else.
