SkyBox F3....

hi guys not been on here in a while, would like a bit of advice or guidence if at all possible, whats your thoughts on the skybox f3 a few people i know are running them abd there working fine, but they dont know the risks of buying with a 12month, are these recievers easy to operate and what have ya, cheers. is software available to input your own........ well ya know what i mean,

New to the scene here but from my perspective they seem like a pretty basic box, not much to them in regards to customisation and such. I don't think there is custom skinning (without changing firmware) so the EPG/Menu's look pretty rough but it works like all others. Personally I'm looking into getting a dreambox, but the skybox seems like an option especially on a low budget.
