dont think so as you have to record and view it on internal hdd that can open their encryption.

its also worth pointing out the hdd must be removed and connected to a pc by a sata conenction to do this, ideally a desktop or tower that has multiple sata connections although an adapter may work

the program is also limited in what it will allow unless you purchase the full version

in my case I used it in a tower running xp to copy from the existing hdd to a new larger 2 Tb w.d. GREEN hdd as detailed in the devilfish thread on this subject elsewhere on this forum

bearing in mind that the sly plus HD boxes differ internally this is easier on some than on others, as the internal hdd can be blocked in by components etc so some common sense is advised here, and a look under the hood would be advisable before attempting hdd removal as its not for everybody to attempt this

I have looked inside 4 or maybe 5 different sly boxes and some are fairly easy to get at the hdd, and if you use a long sata lead and power adapter lead you do not have to remove it, unless you are changing it like I did

consult the devilfish thread for further details on its removal and replacement

my thanks to digicon for pointing out the correct program

assuming members do not wish to access the hdd by opening up the case, the only other method is by scart to usb using a suitable usb adapter like the varicap or dazzle
