HD Box capable of outputting 1080p

Hi looking for a box that will output 1080p and has a reasonable program guide and able to accept the magic lines.
I have a genuine dreambox DM500HD although great will only output at 1080i and I also believe the VU boxes only do 1080i the reason I ask is that I have upgraded my tv from an old 720p to a Sony full Hd and just realised that the dereambox will only output 1080i.

What channles do you have in 1080p?

The Duo will output content @ 1080p just fine using the autoresolution plugin as will all other Vu receivers ( not sure about the solo though ).

Bear in mind that No channels currently broadcast in 1080P but you can output other content @ 1080p as i said above.

Hi thanks for the replies what does sky transmit at? Is it all 1080p? Have viewed BBC1/BBC HD on the built in tuner and they transmit at 1080p sometimes flick to the dreambox and its 1080i if sky only ever transmits at 1080i and never at 1080p no point in changing.

Just a thought if the duo only transmits natively at 1080i and the auto resolution plugin changes to 1080p is ther one available for the dreambox or will the chipset not support it.

Yes i understand sky only transmits at 1080i what I am looking at is will the box output an upscaled output at 1080p using the auto resolution plugin as the VU Duo boxes do. I have found a plugin as above that says it for the DM500HD.

Not on satellite as far as i am aware but they have done on Freeview HD as already mentioned BBCHD have shown numerous programmes in 1080p.

I have yet to see one broadcast on sat yet
