if you feel that you can attach the one you have to a motor and adjust the dish then go ahead and try it, but I think its a suck it and see approach as none of the sly dishes I have come across will marry up to the motor mounts of stab or darkmotor or technomate motors , maybe yours is different ?
if not I suggest you buy and use the proper dish which is designed for the job, like triax or gilbertini or similar
there is no easy answer due to the different models of dish and bracketry that sly have used over the years, and you seem to assume they are all the same with no design changes
you will need to modify the bracket slightly on a Zone 2 as a motor stub is around 2" and the Zone 2 is a tight fit on a 2" diameter pole. It can be done its just a little fiddly thats all.
Probably better with ramjets advice and get a dish suitable for the Job Triax, Orbital, Gibertini etc...
as mentioned above, use the inverto ultra black lnb to give the best possible results
as for dishes , I would have thought an 80cm or 88cm triax like a TD88, or a similar gilbertini, but am sure there are other makes that will suffice
the zone 2 are excellent fixed dishes for 42e , 28e , 19e , 13e and 30w. I use one with an octo on 28e and a motorised triax td110 using a darkmotor and inverto ultrablack
if you buy quality you never regret it, so although my dish is many years old its on its 3rd motor and maybe its 4th lnb, hopefully the last for some considerable time
What should the LNB skew be adjusted to to get 30W? I know for 28 is offset at 3?
well, given that 28e is nearly 30 east and has an offset of 3, you would think that 30w needs an offset of the opposite which is minus 3 , so it will be skewed the other way by the same amount (anti clockwise)
and for thor at 0.8w it would be zero which is how we usually setup a motorised dish
