Can't get signal 53E express ma22 sat

Hi Hope someone help me here
I installed 1m motorized dish using usal system and I'm getting very strong signals and quality on Astra 28, hotbird 13, thor 0.8 etc the only problem is that I'm trying to get signals from 53E express am22 sat and I can't do it so my question is can I get this sat in uk is this sat active for uk or not if active then why I cant get signal as I get the all other satillites Thanks

you should be able to recieve some transponders on this satellite with a 1m dish in the uk but its very low on the horizon and line of site or ground rf could be a issue. can you recieve 45w on your system? regards mdt

I get around 22 channels so it is receivable, but as MDT says ground noise, RF and line of sight play a massive part with what you can or cannot receive.

Ya I tried today and got 26 channels mixed but the channel I am after can't get but well no worry try again tommorrow might I get it thanks for reply and for help

Forget it thats on the AM22 steerable beam you need to be near Afghanistan to receive this.

Idont think you will get pashto via satellite in the uk but you may be able to get it by internet google "ustream"

the point is that satellites have steerable beams and can also be focussed tightly into one area or have pan european beams

so just because you can get some european satellites doesnt mean you will get each and every satellite, and even if you get some channels like on this bird it doesnt mean you will get all the channels, unless you are in the catchment area

clearly the info provided by other members shows that some channels like that one are focussed onto afghanistan, not the uk or europe

Yes mate did try but no luck only 25 channels and that's not for me so no need to scan this sat again now back to astra , hotbird and passing mt time with theses one now thanks

What size dish do you have and i mean not for the channel your looking at just that when i posted i got 22 channels i infact got mixed up with another sat i actually receive around 50 minus feed channels which i dont scan in.

MDT is currently running a Triax 1.1m so will probably give you a more concrete answer on how many you should receive
