    A Question

I heard a interesting thing yesterday.

My mate who is a copper was involved in a team of officers who were raiding a certain pub in Glasgow(w**kers if you ask me), now for what ever reason they try to get this guy they never do.

Now last week they went in again and of of them noticed the non sky setup ie cs for the sky tv.

So he obv had some sort of insight to the general working of this and thought the c**t had won a watch. So he called sky and spoke to them about the matter.

He was told by them that the team that investigated this have been disbanded as it was no longer worth while due to the amount of ??? resources they put in to the while investigation and court and they get nothing at end.

So just wondering if others have heard this also?

Can't say that I have, but I can believe though, The amount of money SKY must spend in bringing just 1 person to court must be in the ?1000'S knowing for just that 1 person there are another 100 or more happily cs away and laughing at them.

The Only rumour i heard about was the G4S meter readers asked to do a bit of part time spying at lunchtimes, nip into a local boozer where they where reading meters have a drink and observe any illegal TV sporting football event that did not display the Sky logo and pint Glass and report back.

Apparently it went down like a lead balloon and the majority said we are meter readers on piss poor money and not some 007 spy types pay us a bit extra or do one, in no uncertain terms

The police have no juristiction on going into pubs & noticing the pub doesn't have Sky or this or that etc.
They were there for one particular event & that's it.

Any matters of this nature are of a civil matter & that means the police CANNOT get involved.

The police are only brought in to keep the peace as that is what their role is, nothin more.

They have no juristiction to walk into pubs & "SEIZE" equipment BEFORE any jury has decieded on any case.
Not that this happened in this case but it has happened in the past.

Only when a publican is found guilty by a jury, then the police can then enter with a warrant to seize goods etc.

This is just a case of the police once again acting above their juristiction.

But interesting news if that whay Sky have told him.

I wonder how much Sky were paying them.

I knew about these meter readers earlier this year.

Thats my main point, I know form my mate that the police in general couldnt care less about this or the old cable setup.

He went to many a house and saw digivox, dbox and the police could care less.

This copper was just being a proper c**t and saw a different angle.

But the person in which he spoke too, was less than helpfull and said there is nothing more was going to happen.

You know what its Like Sky probably approached G4S with the idea and they saw ????? signs and pass on peanuts to the staff, They more than likely had second thoughts though after seeing the debacle that was the Olympic Games security which they balls'ed up big style

tbh if you was really paranoid about it all you could always get an old sky box and refit it with some other box's innards
