Charging ?9.99 to do something that takes 5 minutes......
If you buy a dreambox you need to learn to about this stuff yourself. Besides there are about a million tutorials on the internet that teach you how to flash an image.
If people a willing to pay for it then good luck to them.

I guess that's upto the shop if they want to take the risk.

Remember what it was like to be a complete noobie to all this, would you have paid a tenner for someone to have it ready to go for you? I probably would have, so from a sellers point of view easy money to be made really but a terrible way to get a few extra quid
yes and look what happened to A ls at and DM when they were flashing spiderboxs at their shop!!!!! regards mdt
yeah well DM have their heads firmly implanted up their own arses and have for many years. Just about all other manufacturers of E2 based receivers understand and support users who flash third party images, after all without those images their boxes would not sell.
as for individual shops flashing images prior to dispatch, there is nothing wrong with that if the user requests that it be done, but charging a tenner is outrageous and said seller should be thoroughly ashamed of him or her self.
No thats nothing to do with the image teams, it's just one greedy bastard of a retailer trying to squeeze more profit out of his customers.
back in 1991 i had an old nec mobile phone
the size of a shoe
i needed a new rubber duck aerial that just screwed in the top
the aerial was a tenner
the shop i bought the aerial from wanted 6 quid to screw the aerial in
I know plenty of idiots that charge vulnerable people stupid amounts. I've helped a couple of people in the past but not charged nor would I but I tell them not to tell there mates or anyone else because I know I will have a cue outside my door and quite frankly I can't be bothered doing it.

I suppose it depends on the circumstances. If the shop hadn't sold the box in the first place or they had flashed firmware and the customer corrupted it and sent it back for another flash, then a tenner seems fair enough to me.
