    Watching recordings

Evening all, I'm currently looking to buy a Linux receiver(preferably vu duo) and was curious about recordings.

Is it possible to move recordings from the box to a PC etc easily enough? or maybe even just stream over dlna?

I've just cancelled sky as we really don't watch it enough so I was going to get a box in the kitchen to watch the odd footy/boxing but the mrs is having a break down because she can no longer watch Geordie shore so this feature would be handy

Currently the Duo retails at ?279 but personally hang on a couple of weeks for the Solo2 which is retailing for ?299 and is a twin tuner seriously hang on for it.

They record in .ts format which can be edited with TSdoctor or other popular editors and yes most software WMP,VLC,TMT etc.. will play these no problem and can be transferred any where you like. You can even set up a CIFs share and record to NAS drive or your PC/laptop

More information can be found in the VU section of the site
