Record on Sky + without card?

Hi, im wanting to record on a sky + box without a card and im not looking to pay the ?10 a month either. Is there anyway round it? Surely theres a way to enable the record function. Ive tried google bit can only get results where people are asking if it is possible, i know officially its not but was wondering if there was any work around.

There was a project going a few years ago who successfully allowed you to flash certain amstrad models via a J-Tag to allow such features but to my knowledge that project was wound up long ago, and no other method allows you to use PVR features without a subscription.

I cant believe sky get away with doing this, if you buy hardware you should not be restricted to using a certain feature

Try and get hold of an old Sky Card Blue with yellow house some still have the Recording facility still active and will work in a Sky + box plenty of info about this on T'internet

It has to be a card that had the facility activated, most would not of.
You wont be able to tell untill you got one.
