Sky mate you cant use anyone else without legal ramifications, So unless you have been away from the news for the last year the EPL have a ruling in place that no commercial premises can broadcast to the public any copyrighted logo and music that they own.

Which pretty much means every other provider out there apart from maybe ADMC which you would have to install via the official IPTV box at a cost of around ?2000.

That my friend is your choice entirely, you have 2 choices

1. Go legal with you know who

2. Get a foreign sub and hope know one grasses you up.

A pub landlady has won her court fight with the English Premier League over using a Greek TV decoder to show games.

Karen Murphy has paid nearly ?8,000 in fines and costs for using the cheaper decoder in her Portsmouth pub.

But she took her case to the European Court of Justice (ECJ). It found partly in her favour, and now the High Court in London has also found in her favour.

So she technically still needs the Premier League's permission to use the logo.

You can just black it out or strecth the screen a bit to cover the logo.

News programmes do it all the time when showing clips from rival tv companies.

I remember the BBC used haze out the Channel 9 logo on
the cricket highlights from Australia so nobody tell me that's illegal cos it's not.

It's only illegal to SHOW the logo, not hide it.

although anything other than s*y is a risk for a smallish outlay a tm5402hd, td110,inverto black ultra fixed on 10east will get you the footy or add a tm2600 for a extra ?50 and get 39e/7e/22w were games are also showed. at least if it then goes tits up your not out a massive amount of money. every pub you walk past now has a large fixed or motorised dish on it so no one seems to be heeding the warnings.. s*y/fapl arent going to take every single landlord to court! if all the landlords ect stick together something might come of it and force ruperts henchmen to reduce there extortionate prices for commercial subscriptions,regards mdt

Plenty of pubs around my area have Italia, Nova, Viasat etc. Nothing seems to be happening in regards to confiscations/court summons, well at the moment anyway.

If it were me I'd do what mdt suggested and hook up PLTV on 10e.

What do I need to get up and running with nova

Hi I'm totally new to this area and have only recently heard of sky nova.

What i'm looking for is what I need to get up and running to get all football games with english commentary.

I'm just a individual

Hi, & welcome.

There is no such thing a Sky Nova.

There is Sky UK, Sky Germany, sky Italy but no Sky Nova.

There are two packages that have Nova channels,
one is at 13 east from Greece & has about 7 sports channels amongst others & then there is Nova sport from Bulgaria which is part of the SatBG package on 23.5 East & can also be found on 39 East aswell in another package.

As for getting all Premier League games with English commentary, that also doesn't exist either via satellite unless you live in the middle east.

You can obtain these however using either

IPTV boxes for AD sports
AD Sports online player (like sky go)
Viaplay (Swedish sky go if you like)

There is very little English on satellite anymore apart from the UK broadcasters which makes sense really as why would people in Greece want to watch their tv in English, as i certainly wouldn't want my tv in Greek.

Sorry i can't give you what you wanted to hear, but that's how it is these days.

Interesting reading all these posts, I'm no expert but in my experience as long as you subscribe to Sly, they will turn a blind eye to whatever else you show as there getting as much out of you as they can, but & a big but pubs cant afford ?1000 a month for a sports subscription, to make it worse BT sports have taken 38 games & are charging upwards of ?300 per month for these games. Think the law is on the premierships side with the copyright issue as you can smudge out the logo & turn down the anthem but there logo is still on the players shirts. Pubs will still take the risk and go for IPTV boxes as there cheap & carry all the games plus most other sports.
