Can I recover data after I accidentally formatted my SKY hard disk?

I suppose a pc geek could do it with some tools after taking out the hard disk, plugging it into a pc and using some kind of recovery tools on it
but I would say not from within the menus of the sly box, and certainly not for anybody not able to remove the hdd from the box, connect it to a pc using a sata cable, and using some form of rescue tools
in other words ~~~~~K off ncis could probably do it, or abi in the tech room there, but I dont know of any method as it is a bespoke filing system, as can be seen in the devilfish thread where he used a tool to copy his existing hdd contents to a larger one
