problem with motorised dish - motor powering up but not scanning any channels HELP!

Hi all, I had a Vu+ Duo set up with 1 feed coming from motorised dish and the other feed coming from static Sky dish. Recently tried watching some football on 0.8W but no channels were working.

I checked setting and they set up on Usals and simple single 28.2E satellite. Receiver is working fine as feed from static Sky dish working however the motorised dish is not picking up any channels. Tested the motorised dish on Vu+ Duo, DM800HD and even tried blind scan Usals on Openbox X3 receiver, dish moves but no channels working. Dark motor also flashes red and green.

Does any one know what the problem could be??? Has the LNB stopped working or does it need re-aligning?

Any info would be much appreciated.

    Thank-You.

The Re/Green Flashing from the dark Motor is normal and means it is functioning correctly, seeing as you have already tried 3 different receivers then your problem is as you mentioned either the LNB has Gone or could have been blown out of alignment.

It is possibly that the dish might have move with the wind.
What are SNR on the programmes? You could also use positioner setup on a Sat and programme data

the guy who did my motor tm2600 said he used to swear by darkmotors but after 4 faulty ones, has gone of them

if u can use what i do on my xtrend, go to a 13e channel see if a signal, go to search settings, ect there is a part i can move east and west, if a more then 3 moved dish is out
u will need to tell it go to zero, then go to the dish ur self and make sure is on zero

then go back to 13 e to check signal

regarding the lnb, it must be working as the motor has power. am i right????

then it must be re-aligned, right?

No the motor will still work even if you had no cable going from the motor to the LNB

You have a fixed dish at 28.2, so set your Moving dish to to the same sat. Do a rough check with your moving dish and your fixed, does it look about right like the fixed. If it does, you have a sat meter in positioner setup. If you have made a backup of your settings in Backup manager - restore. You then need to go to positioner setup. If there are no data in there, you have to put it in. Take it from you fixed dish like BBC news. Freq , sym ,
FEC and horizontal or vertical. You need to put that info in positioner setup, and move your dish by fine positioner - step east and step west moment until it shows locked and SNR is at its highest figure, if the SNR showing something it proves the LNB should be okay. If the dish has only moved a little either east or west out of line. Doing this should put the dish in the right position. If not sure, it is best to get someone to set it up.
If after doing that do a manual scan only using the same news data. It should only take a few minutes, and then see if you are
              receiving that programme.
