No one knows nothing, so best not worry about it and let life carry on.

Rumours abound that it will be sometime in 2013 i for one think thats a pretty hard deadline to meet especially with all the millions of Non-HD subscribers and Non-HD Multiroom receivers there are out there and lets not forget the cost to replace all of these with a HD box astronomical.

Just over 6 Milllion Non HD subscribers that is some serious wonga to swap them all

It's only the HD channels you will lose.

I dont think sky are in any sort of hurry to roll out, as much as its rife, its not hitting them in the pocket really.

They can take a pace thats suits them and they make sure they get it right.

Im not worrying. If the hd channels go first with sd remaining im sure there will be people out there working on new recievers to work with the new security. By the time theyve got around to switching the sd channels off there may even be a fix.

your very optimistic, people were saying that when nds came out, still no public fix and although a different encryption, nova did similar and nobodys getting that either, we in the uk make up a very small % of people, we are not that important and sky uk is not the be all and end all of tv theres still lots out there

You say that. But we are one of the biggest importers of these types of recievers. Also sky uk is one of the most popular packages in europe for cardsharing. So i'll be optimistic and say a fix will be out. An hopefully wont take too long. When the white cards came everyone thought the same. But we got around that. Hopefully this will be the same.

Yes I agree, its one of the most popular cards and attention will be paid to it, lets face it, this is just part of a chain of developments for TV providers.

I dont think it will just be as easy as the white cards, this is I think will be a hard one.

Sky will rather spend bucket loads in supplying new boxes than risk upgrading old boxes fw.

People have also forgot there is a card change due as well either late 2013 or early 2014, the Current white card is pretty much near its 5 year life cycle end
