    SATlink WS-6909

    Just purchased one SATlink WS-6909 from ... will tell you later up in request (cheapest that I can fine online) but would like to know if anyone has had one and how good or bad it is?


    If it is very bad then I will be more then happy to take the pain.

    worth the money for the occasional install/keeping your own system bang on but has problems in bright sunlight. regards mdt

      Regarding 'problems in bright sunlight'? Well,I just have to apply some protective Sun Cream and job done.

        I made this sun visor up for a ws-6906,because as MDT says you cant see the screen in sunlight no laughing at it as it works a treat,I"v had the meter over a year now and its great for personal installs.

            Finally item arrived from China! Looking good so far but one thing is missing? The_ USB CABLE?

            Does anyone know what type of usb cable do I need to connect this satfinder with my pc?

                I did get one with my 6906 its usb to rs232 but to be honest I"v never used it as you can update TPs/add channels etc manually without any bother.

                  Apparently I have that cable somewhere but my desktop pc only have one output connection which is for the monitor.
                  Also instead of a usb to rs232 can a USB Male to A Male Cable do the same job?

                    I dont know but dont think so others will know more than me.older desk top pcs usually have an rs232 port.which is not the same a monitor connector.
